What Is the Process of Rehabilitation?

A typical rehabilitation process starts with the assessment of your condition, addiction symptoms, and other mental health disorders by a team of clinical staff. Based on the results of your evaluation, a medical practitioner will structure a customized treatment approach that best addresses your needs.

Once a treatment plan, tailored to your individual needs is created, you will be put on a daily routine. Your typical day will involve one-on-one counseling sessions, individual and group therapy, attending support groups, etc. Your doctor may recommend certain medications to promote recovery.

Inpatient rehabs can last for 30-90 days based on the severity of addiction and progress in recovery, while outpatient programs can range anywhere from 4 weeks - 6 months. At our alcohol rehab center, we offer continuing care after rehab to help recovering individuals avoid relapse. For more information on our rehab process, call us today.

What is Partial Hospitalization for Substance Abuse?

Partial hospitalization programs require you to stay in a treatment facility for up to 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, allowing you to go home each evening after treatment. After an intense inpatient rehab stay, most patients request to transition to a partial hospitalization program. This enables them to cater to their work, school, and family commitments while still getting help for their addiction.

Most clients with a mild to moderate level of addiction show considerable improvement with partial hospitalization treatment. However, if we don't see an improvement or if we notice irregular attendance, we may ask you to stay in the facility and partake in an inpatient rehab program. For quick and comprehensive recovery from addiction, get in touch with our team today.

Types of Outpatient Rehab

Outpatient rehab is for those with a mild to moderate level of addiction. Some recovering individuals may choose outpatient rehab as a step down after completing their inpatient rehab program, to stay safe from relapse. Common types of outpatient rehab include:

  • Day Programs - In this type of rehab, patients attend rehab for several hours a day for 5-6 days a week. Recovering individuals attend on-going therapy, behavioral therapies, group counseling, and support groups as a part of day programs.
  • Intensive Outpatient Programs - With this type of treatment, your time commitment to rehab reduces with your progress in recovery. Your treatment specialist may use a well-defined set of milestones to measure your progress. You will attend several sessions for a couple of hours each week, during which you will participate in different therapies and counseling sessions.

Safe Harbor Recovery Center is the only alcohol rehab center to offer continuing care even after rehab to help avoid instances of relapse in those recovering from addiction. Join us to begin a life-transforming journey!
